Your office
From the outside, an office like many others.
The internet arrives from the street: it comes out of that grey cabinet on the corner and runs along the pavement to the door. There, next to the door, we put a firewall: the network's armoured door. Inside are the computers, the files and the everyday work. Let's open up.
Inside
In this office, every object is a job we do.
Under everything run the cables that connect it all: the network. If it is all one piece, a virus picked up on one computer can reach all the others. We split it into separate parts.
At a machine shop in Ticino that we look after, the network is split into production, office and guests: anyone on the guest Wi-Fi cannot see production.

When something stops working
A computer that freezes, an email that doesn't arrive: you call, and Leonardo or Noah picks up. Often we fix it from Riazzino, on your screen, with a program we install on your computers.
If needed, we come to you, in Ticino and Italian-speaking Grisons.
Report a problem -
Backups
Every night, once the office is closed, we make a copy of your files, and a second copy goes off-site. If a disk fails, or a virus locks the files and demands a ransom, we put them back from the copy.
The second copy can sit at another of your sites or with a provider in Switzerland.
Backups in detail -
Replacing the server or the email
The server has had its day, or the email needs moving, but the office cannot stop. The new server arrives at your place ready to go, and at the end of the day we check together that files, programs, printers and email are all where they should be.
August 2026: an accounting firm went on holiday and we replaced its 2012 server. 404,784 files moved, 0 lost. How it went
How we replace a server -
InfoTime, the invoicing program
We write it and look after it ourselves. Invoices come out with the QR code for payment already on them, and the same program holds customers, quotes and stock. If you are missing a feature or have a question, you talk to us directly.
It is also used by the accounting firm whose server we replaced.
A look at InfoTime -
A program written just for you
Is there a job you do by hand every week, always the same, maybe in the evening at home? We write the program that does it for you and install it on your computers.
For the same machine shop, the one with the split network, we wrote the program that drafts a follow-up email when a customer doesn't reply to a quote. Then someone at the workshop reads it over and sends it.
Tell us about that job -
The assistant that reads documents
Today someone types supplier invoices into the program by hand, one by one. The assistant can read them and enter the data instead; the person who used to type them looks it over and confirms it. It runs on the server in your office, so the documents never leave the business.
Artificial intelligence in the office -
The workshop machines, on the network
No more trips back and forth with a USB stick: programs reach the machine over the network; on older machines with only a serial port, we fit the converter ourselves. Where the control has a network port, you can also see from the office which machines are working and which are idle. That is ERGANE, our program: it reads the machines and does not control them.
At that same workshop: 6 machines connected, from a 1998 control to a 5-axis machine.
A job from summer 2026
An accounting firm had a server from 2012. We replaced it while the firm was closed for the holidays.
We prepared the new server in our lab. On the night of 3 to 4 August we moved the firm's shared folder onto it: 5 hours and 19 minutes. On 6 August we took it to the office. Everyone kept the computers they had before: each needed only a few tweaks, and by the end of the day accounting, payroll, InfoTime, printers and backups were all working.
We don't publish the firm's name: for us, client confidentiality comes first.
A date to note
12.01.2027 Windows Server 2016 stops receiving free security updates.
Security updates are the fixes Microsoft uses to close the holes that viruses can get in through. After that date the server keeps working, but new holes stay open: Microsoft still sells a few more years of updates, but only with certain licence agreements. There are … days to go, and the changeover needs preparing: it's worth talking about it now.
If your server is even older, the changeover is even more urgent. If you don't know which version you have, we'll tell you.
How to get started
Three steps, and the first is a phone call or an email.
- You call or write to usTell us what isn't working, or what you'd like to work better.
- We come and take a lookWe see what you have in the office and tell you what we would change, and when.
- We take care of itWe do the work and then we stay: when you call, we already know how your office is set up.
